Does Chad Pennington to the Chiefs Make Sense?
I don't want him but Adam Schefter seems to think Kansas City is a logical spot for Pennington to end up.
We'll put this one in the "Lack of better news" category.

Few things
- I warned about this. It probably won't happen, but I can hear Herm's little gears ticking from here.
- I've stated my case against Huard. That said. I will wholeheartedly throw my lot behind Huard if Captain Hook comes to town.
- Yikes.

This means...
I survived Kinney, DeBerg, and Grbac.
I won't make it if we sign Noodle Arm.
Just can't do it.
It would truly mean we aren't committed to winning.
The day his signing is announced is the day I hold open auditions for any AFC team wanting a serious fan.
It would pain me, but I just couldn't take the kind of torture he'd put us through.

Disaster
I will be extremely dissappointed if that loyalty will extend to Chad Pennington, a QB that he inexplicably is crazy about, but who has never done anything to earn it.
The only problem I really have with Huard is his weak arm and age. I want a QB that is dynamic and will be the team leader for the next decade. Chad Pennington certainly doesn't fit any of the above roles.

We must be looking for our dynasty QB
San Francisco 49ers had Joe Montana
Dallas Cowboys had Roger Staubauch and Troy Aikman
New England Patriots have Tom Brady
Indianapolis Colts have Peyton Manning
Denver Broncos had John Elway
Buffalo Bills had Jim Kelly
Of the 41 Super Bowls, these 7 guys led their teams to 24 combined appearances.
Teams might have one good year with a mediocre or poor QB, but they do not become dynasties.
We have seen what happens with the Chiefs when they have a decent team with a mediocre QB. For the past 15 years we get to the playoffs only to lose in the first game.
We should be looking for our dynasty QB who has the talent and most importantly, the leadership to lift the team past this block of just making it to the playoffs every year, to being Super Bowl participants every year.
Now especially with the level of play Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are playing at, to be able to compete, we have to be searching for someone who can play at their level.
Difficult? Of course. But those guys are out there. Maybe we already have him....

You Clearly
If you had, you would know that the dynasty QB is already playing.
Marvel at the way he avoids the sack for a whole 2 seconds, only succumbing to the sack in the third second.
Watch as he dishes to Kris Wilson too high for a drop, luring the defense closer and closer before he crushes them with a check down pass short of the first down.
The future is now.
